Stockholm Toy Museum is a Swedish private toy and comic book museum that opened in September 2017 and is located in Skeppsholmen's cave at Svensksundsvägen 5 (entrance next to the former Högvakten ) on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm .
At the beginning of 2020, the museum changed its name to Stockholm Toy Museum from the former Bergrummet – Tidö collection of toys and comics .
Background
The cave was blown up in the early 1940s to make room for the naval commander and his staff during wartime. It consists of eight tunnels that are linked by transepts and various corridors. The facility has a total area of 4,800 square meters. In the 1990s, all furnishings were demolished. In early 2010, the cave was renovated as an exhibition space for special exhibitions, including for the Museum of East Asia and the Museum of World Culture . The cave is owned by the State Property Board
