Last week, I recreated an earthbending effect inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender.
So I decided to stay in that world — and push it even further.
In this video, I attempt to turn myself into Prince Zuko and create a live-action firebending effect, using Blender, After Effects, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve.
This project took 5 days, multiple failed attempts, a very slow computer, and way more problem-solving than I expected. From building the environment, creating Zuko’s costume from scratch, fixing EbSynth breaking, simulating fire, compositing, and sound design — this video documents the entire journey, including the mistakes.
