Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, respectfully known as Hedgewar Saheb, was a freedom fighter and visionary who believed that a strong nation is built through disciplined, selfless, and character-driven citizens. In 1925, he founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with the aim of organizing society and strengthening national unity.
Hedgewar Saheb emphasized daily practice (shakha), physical fitness, moral values, and service to society. RSS was not created as a political organization, but as a cultural and social movement focused on nation-building from the grassroots level.
