In 1964, after suffering a heart attack 8 years prior, President Lyndon B. Johnson proclaimed February to be National Heart Health Month.
You'd think that we would start seeing the health of all Americans improve and that heart disease would go down.
Sadly, the opposite has happened.
Now, Heart Disease is the #1 Killer of men and women in the US. For women at age 40, 1 in 2 deaths are due to heart disease. And only 1 in 8 is due to breast cancer. CRAZY!!
Thankfully, this is a very preventable condition.
