The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a rain and snowfall alert for northern tourist destinations of Pakistan between Friday and Tuesday (Jan 23–27, 2026).
🏔️ Tourist Weather Forecast:
Friday, Monday & Tuesday: Moderate to heavy rain and snowfall expected in Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Naran, Kaghan, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Murree, and Galliyat.
Saturday & Sunday: Weather to remain very cold and partly cloudy.
⚠️ Advisory:
Heavy snowfall may cause road closures, slippery conditions, and traffic disruptions. There is also a risk of landslides and avalanches in hilly areas.
Tourists are advised to remain extremely cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during the spell.
🌨️ In Ziarat and surrounding areas, cold and dry weather will persist from Friday to Sunday, followed by rain and snowfall on Monday and Tuesday.
