Описание: Visapur Fort is a majestic hill fort located near Lonavala in Maharashtra, standing tall at an elevation of approx. 3500 feet above sea level. Built in the early 18th century by Balaji Vishwanath, the first Peshwa of the Maratha Empire, Visapur was primarily constructed to strengthen the nearby Lohagad Fort, which lies just a short hike away. Unlike Lohagad, which is more popular and slightly easier to trek, Visapur offers a more adventurous and offbeat experience, making it a favorite among trekkers looking for both challenge and solitude.

🚗 How to Reach Visapur Fort
Visapur Fort is located near Malavli village in the Lonavala region, around 65 km from Pune and 100 km from Mumbai.

By Car/Bike:
From Pune: Take the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, exit at Lonavala, and follow Google Maps toward Malavli/Bhaje Village.

From Mumbai: Drive on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, exit at Khandala or Lonavala, then follow signs to Malavli.


Things to note before your trek:
Always start your day trek early in the morning to avoid heat.

Dry fruits/energy bars/snacks (avoid oily food products)
Good trekking shoes
