I've long wanted to share my findings on the ARRI LogC3 profile on the Lumix cameras like the GH7, S1ii and stuff. And I've finally gotten down to documenting it.
It's a long video, but I promise it goes through some important things about the differences between v-log and ARRI LogC3, especially how the post-processing of normalising these profiles to SDR makes a big difference.
In a nutshell, the only real benefit of shooting in ARRI LogC3 on these Lumix cameras is to take advantage of the ARRI color pipeline workflow, or to pair them up more efficiently with other ARRI Cameras on the same project.
Other than this, there's no real point in getting the upgrade.
