Blynk is a low-cost platform for prototyping your IoT project. You can directly control and read inputs and outputs from your Arduino-based microcontroller (Like a Particle Photon or ESP32). My favorite IoT microcontroller is the Particle Photon, although it can be a little harder to get started on. Many students prefer the lower-cost and easier entry ESP32, which is a good choice too.
