The 2025 National Health Research Conference brought together Trinidad and Tobago’s top minds in health research, policy, and practice on Tuesday, 25th November 2025. Partners across the nation united to push forward evidence-based health solutions that strengthen systems and impact lives.
A national collaboration between The Faculty of Medical Sciences & Caribbean Centre for Health Systems Research and Development (UWI), The University of Trinidad and Tobago, The University of the Southern Caribbean, Regional Health Authorities, the Ministry of Health, Tobago House of Assembly, and the Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association made this year’s event one of the most impactful yet.

Lifetime Achievement Honour
This year’s Research for Health Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Professor Sandra Reid of The University of the West Indies for over 30 years of distinguished work in public health and psychiatry.
