In this video, I share the Top Ten most amazing things that you just can not miss whilst in Istanbul Türkiye. I have visited Istanbul many times over the past 15 years as for me it is my favourite city on the planet! It was the capital to the greatest empires including the glorious Ottoman Empire and every street is steeped in incredible history, beautiful architecture and spirituality. If you are visiting Istanbul for the mosques, palaces, shopping or history, then be sure to follow this comprehensive guide as there will be something for everyone to enjoy!

If you want to immerse yourself in Ottoman history then be sure to visit some of their incredible palaces including the Topkapi Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace and Yildiz Palace.

There are many great mosques to visit in Istanbul including Aya Sofia (also known as Hagia Sofia), the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Cami) and Eyüp Sultan mosque where you can also visit the tomb of Ayub al Ansari, the beloved companion of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

You can get amazing views of Istanbul city by taking the elevator up to the iconic Galata Tower, or if you want a more relaxing option then you can take a boat tour on the Bosphorus which gives a completely different perspective.

There are many places to shop including Galata Port. But you should also visit the Bozdağ film set near Beykoz in Istanbul if you are a fan of Kuruluş Osman and Diriliş Ertuğrul.
