Finished in crisp unmarked Roman Bronze with a Winchester Grey cloth interior - the latter often referred to as the "Teddy Bear" interior, with elegant American walnut inlays for the doors - this Range Rover featuring the 3.9L V8 motor was delivered by John Broadly Rover of Cairns in Queensland to an owner in Richmond Victoria in December, 1992. It remained in Victoria for many years, before being acquired by a collector (also in Victoria) it was then traded-in by us on another collector vehicle. It has covered 262,000km, and comes complete with the spare keys, all the original owner's manuals and factory literature, service log book and receipts for recent service work completed. It is easily one of the most original and unmolested examples of the original Range Rover (generally now referred to as the Classic) that we have seen for many years, and a rare find given that their numbers are diminishing as every year rolls by. The condition of the vehicle is excellent both inside and out, and a considerable amount of money has been invested in recent times to keep it in tip-top operating condition. The air-conditioning is ice-cold, the heating/ventilation system work as they should and the driving experience is a reminder of just how revolutionary these cars were in the closing decades of the 20th Century. The 3.9L petrol V8 develops 134kW of power and 304Nm of torque, and drives through a chain-driven transfer case with low range (which works without fuss) and permanent four-wheel drive. The engine maintains its characteristic V8 burble, and is as eager to perform as it was 30 years ago. The transmission is the optional ZF 4-speed automatic, which is also smooth in its shifts and happy to kick-down promptly on demand. The original self-levelling air suspension has been replaced with coil-overs and shocks but drives absolutely beautifully with the coil-overs, however it can be converted back to air suspension should the new owner wish down the track.
