Man, when I saw the name of today’s sandwich, the Hot Honey Sandwich, I was prepared to be blown away. Did the authors of 1,001 Sandwiches in 1936 actually create hot honey decades before Mike’s? The ingredients list even says “hot honey.” The thing is, it’s in a section called Hot Sandwiches. Alas, the hot in hot honey here is not spiciness but just temperature. Still the combo of ingredients sounds tasty even if the execution of the final sandwich is…how you say…lacking?
