TV Theme Restoration: The Avengers (Tara King)

Описание: The short-lived 'shooting gallery' version of Linda Thorson's 'Avengers' run has been hard to reconstruct. The Blu-Ray releases used the end credits on just one episode: 'The Forget-Me-Knot' (Diana Rigg's swan song), while the opening titles are only seen on one Thorson episode ('Split!'). And both of these are flawed...until now. Here is what we have corrected from the Blu-Ray presentations:
• The 'shooting gallery' opens with snare drums and tympani; these were almost a half-step higher than our reference recording (and the rest of the titles) so the pitch has been corrected.
• For some reason the audio from the later 'suit of armor' open was used instead of the original track. So we removed the sound of a sword swish that didn't belong.
• The gunshot was not heard in the 'suit of armor' audio, so we restored the original gunshot from our reference recording.
• On the Blu-Ray the end credits started with audio from Diana RIgg's seasons. Because the tempo is different it doesn't line-up when a few seconds later they switch over to Thorson's music, leaving a very clumsy edit. We have restored the full original music.
• Not a music issue, but the end credits had a yellowish tint which we adjusted to more closely match the open.
