This one is special to me. My 4th studio album is titled “OBO”, which means hand in the Benin language, this album is deeply connected to my culture and heritage. The inspiration behind “OBO” came from the role hands play in our lives, we work with our hands, feed ourselves with them, take care of our loved ones with them, and provide with them. Our hands do so much for us, just like how life and culture inspire us daily.

I recorded all the songs on “OBO” in my city, Benin City, Nigeria. No features on this one. I wrote and sang all tracks myself. I wanted this project to be personal and different, something that reflects who I am and where I come from.

What motivated me most was my family and the way the youths of today live their lives with disrespect for the elder and for themself including their parents , even in this fast-paced Gen Z era. This album represents my way of life, my culture, and everything that inspires me.

I hope you connect with it as much as I did while creating it. “OBO” the album will be available tomorrow, 6th September, 2024.
