►A serving Metropolitan police officer is facing a lengthy prison sentence tonight, after he admitted dozens of sex offences, including 24 counts of rape.

David Carrick's job was to protect the public, but, in his private life he relentlessly degraded, belittled, sexually assaulted and raped women.

His offences took place over an 18 year period, starting in 2003 - just 2 years after he joined the Met Police.
