S.O.A.R. was created by Sofía María Bosch after years in bilingual special education classrooms—years spent searching for ways to honor students’ brilliance, linguistic strengths, and neurodiverse ways of processing information. Drawing from research across translanguaging, UDL, small-group instruction, reinforcement, and culturally grounded practices, this framework unites research fields that rarely speak to each other.
