You dont have to have a wireless setup to get the benefit of the Dream 65, if you do it wired simply plug the output of the Dream 65 straight into Bose with a normal guitar cable and use it as normal with other pedals behind it.
Do not mistakenly think my wireless system caused the canny sound, even when I plug straight into Bose with my Monster Guitar Cable it gets the exact same "canny" heavy mid sound. The preamp solves this for wireless or guitar cables. I wanted to go wireless, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to use my preamp or effects, but with this "Hosa Insert Cable" cable I absolutely can and it puts the acoustic signal behind the effects and preamp so the effects and preamp are not "less effective". I havent noticed any color in tone between using wireless transmitter vs Monster Cable. The transmitter works perfect and sounds as good as a quality cable.
I will add links one i get verified,
Until then, simply search for the hosa insert cable
(1/4" TRS to Dual 1/4" TS) on amazon.
Several sites sell the Bose S1 Pro+
and S1 Pro + Transmitter.
Universal Audio Dream 65' is my preamp sold by all major online music stores.
Without this setup I would not enjoy the Bose, but the preamp tames it and balances out eq nicely. I think with the preamp added it sounds way better than the Fishman mini or Taylor's new amp or even Tommy Emmanuel's little black box (I have tried them all and the Bose won with the Dream 65 added). It tames the bass being excessive and gets rid of the heavy mids and canny sound.
I recommend buying a backup Hosa Insert Cable because theyre not the best brand. If Monster ever makes one I will snatch it up! The Hosas are only around $8-10.
You can also search for portable rechargeable battery powered 9V power supplies if you wanna take the Dream 65 outside on the street without a wall outlet. If you use a low ma power supply or a cheap one like Joyo it may hum real bad so look for sufficient ma power. Its a thirsty beast! Enjoy!
**Lastly, the Tim Henson acoustic is pretty cheap, the built in pre-amp is so good (better than the Taylor I own) you dont need one with it.
