Ok, here is the spot in the video where I usually ask you to comment down below with the hashtag #TeamEIDL, share the video, etc., and demand that someone in DC fix the problems they created for the nation's small businesses. While I still hope you do that, as I said in the opening, EIDL is pretty much over, it was the carrot they placed in front of us to keep us happy, but in the end, the SBA, Congress, IRS, and basically the entire federal government just shafted us. The sad truth is, they do not care about us; in fact, they never really did. Based upon the latest numbers available, over 95% of US small businesses have either been denied or are in endless wait for their EIDL advance grant money or the 24-month working capital.As many of you know, the EIDL program was authorized in the CARES Act so that the SBA could provide small businesses with emergency loans of up to $2million, based upon the size of your business, of course, and as I have covered multiple times in previous videos, this program turned out to be a complete disaster. The SBA unilaterally changed the rules, setting a cap on the loans at $150k instead of the $2million, and refused to give the $10,000 advances. Part of the blame goes to the SBA for dropping the ball, part of the blame goes to Congress for writing a horrible set of laws, and, yes, part of the blame goes to the dirtbag scammers that clogged the EIDL application queue, with fraudulent applications for fake businesses, in an attempt to get free grant money. Over the past year and a half, Congress keeps adding money to the EIDL and other SBA programs, and yet, very little ever makes it out to the small businesses in need. We all know this; in fact, many of you watching are the ones that have been shafted.

As I said, I am not giving up, but I am pivoting. Rather than waiting for the federal government to save us, I want to spend more time on this channel helping small businesses succeed and flourish. Yes, the EIDL money would be helpful, but if we sit around waiting on something that never happens, it only hurts us. If instead, together, we shine a light on amazing American small businesses, we can help each other.

This will be a multi-phased project. The first phase, I have already hinted about on this channel, is an online resource guide just for small business owners, providing links and direct contact information for products and services you need to get your business back on both feet, including consultants, web designers, graphics designers, marketing, investors, grant & loan resources, educational resources, how-to information, and so much more.
