Here’s how you can create a simple cloth simulation in Blender in the easiest way.
First, add a Plane object to the scene. This will be your cloth. Press S to scale it up, then press G + Z to move it slightly upward. To better see the details, assign a material to the plane.
Switch to Edit Mode, right-click, and choose Subdivide. Set the Number of Cuts to 80. This value can change depending on your scene and the level of detail you want.
Next, select the Cylinder object underneath and add Collision physics from the Physics panel. Then select the plane and add Cloth physics.
With the timeline on frame 1, press Play to start the simulation. Stop the animation at the frame where the result looks good. Right-click the cloth object and apply Shade Smooth.
To make the cloth look even smoother, add a Subdivision Surface Modifier and adjust the settings as needed.
This is the simplest way to use cloth and collision physics together in Blender.
