I'm the Bill C-9 Senate Opposition critic (Judges Act disciplinary process revamp).
Pleased that the Senate Legal Committee passed my substantial amendment (by a vote of 8-4-1) to include "laypersons" (i.e. not judges/lawyers) on each disciplinary panel.
(Thank you to Senators Boisvenu, Plett, Tannas, D. Patterson, Jaffer, Clement and Simons for voting yes to my amendment at committee.)
