For those who wonder, my name is Lorenzo Mejia.

I am not a doctor. I have a MA in Food Research (and an MBA) from Stanford University. Early in my career, I worked for one of the world's largest processed food companies in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the US.

My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and we cared for her for five years. Based on that experience, I have devoted the past ten-plus years of my life to dementia care and assisting seniors. I was certified as a Qualified Dementia Care Professional and in 2014 the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America named me the Dementia Care Professional of the Year in the US.

I am closer to 70 than I am to 60, and am passionate about having the best health possible through exercise, lifestyle and nutrition. I research lots of topics for my personal knowledge and to share with friends and clients.

While my training and work experience may nuance the content of my videos, nearly all the info I provide comes from research papers and scientific sources that are in the public domain. I may also share information from my dementia training as well as my personal experience derived from working with 100s of elder clients.
