My Gray Hair Transition Month 6

Описание: I got my first gray hair at 16, to my horror. I just plucked it out and did that every time I got the random gray hair.

By the time I was 24 or 25, I had a lot of gray hairs, and I spent most of the last 25 years dyeing my hair to cover them.

As I got older, I had to cover the grays more often. By age 50, my roots were showing within a week of dyeing. I can't believe how much time and effort (and money) I spent trying to cover up those pesky silver hairs!

My last dye was February 22, 2018. I had been thinking about giving up dyeing, but the fear of looking old or unkempt kept me from doing so.

But after that last dye in February, I kept putting off dyeing until April, when I realized I was DONE trying to hide my grays. I just couldn't bear to waste any more time or money on this issue. And, what was wrong with being 50 anyhow?

Anyway, this is a long way of saying that today is my 6 month dye free anniversary! I love my silver hair and I love the community of support I've found on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
