Описание: Like his lifelong colleague Walter Berry (also born 1929) Waldemar Kmentt didn't have a farewell performance at the end of his 54 year long career, and in both cases a performance of Ariadne retrospectively turned out to be their last public performance.

Waldemar Kmentt was scheduled to do Haushofmeister in three performances of Ariadne, but he had difficulties remembering his text, so cancelled the last performance.

According to the online archives of Wiener Staatsoper, the title role in his last performance was a mysterious "Gloren Roxas", but I can guarantee that it was no other than Adrianne Pieczonka. (https://archiv.wiener-staatsoper.at/p...)
