JB Custom Fabrication Cable Shifter Installed on NP241 Transfer Case

I have already replaced the factory bench seat in my 1984 M1028 military CUCV truck (same as K30) with military bucket seats, and am now designing and fabricating a new gauge cluster housing to attach to the lower dash steel and cover the ashtray hole. This location makes it almost impossible to operate the OEM transfer case linkage lever, so I am abandoning the OEM lever and replacing it with a JB Custom Fabrication cable shifter. The new cable shifter will be mounted in the flat area of the cab floor immediately to the right of the drivers seat for easy operation without reaching or taking eyes off the road. I wanted to get the new cable shifter set up and adjusted correctly prior to installing the engine/transmission/transfer case into the truck, so I fabricated a temporary wooden mounting surface to approximate the ultimate mounting location in the cab floor.
