One of the most difficult rescues I've done - this 6 week old little guy really gave me a serious work out for almost 2 hours in blazing heat. Two weeks later I had a heart attack - although in reality this little guy had little or nothing to do with it - I did think about this video when I was in ICU 2 weeks later! If I had keeled over at this place on the day I was chasing this kitten, no-one would have even noticed for hours here, if not until the next day. My fate would have been the same as his.

I had checked on a couple of places on this day where previously kittens were dumped. At this particular dump, we rescued a couple of batches of kittens over the years. It was supposed to be closed for quite a while but not surprisingly, someone thought this was a suitable place to just throw away what should be a tiny nursing kitten. Other then bad roundworm infection, which is potentially serious in young kittens, but has been cleared up in his case, Fiacra has no health issues. Since rescue, Fiacra has done really well. He has a new friend, another rescued female kitten called Holly, who will be put up for adoption together, when they are at least 4 months old.
