NOTES:
Nigel Mansell was cruising to an easy(and his first) Monaco GP win during this week in 1992, when he suffered a mysterious tyre problem with about 12 laps to go in the race. He pitted for fresh rubber, and caught the new leader, Ayrton Senna with around 6 laps remaining. Senna was on the set of tyres he started the race with, but as James Hunt said during commentary: “Mansell with all the grip on the world, but this is narrow, this is Monaco!”

I originally made this video with the added live synced BBC Commentary, from Murray Walker and James Hunt, but that audio got content ID struck, so I had to delete it.

The two cars were BoP’d in Content Manager specifically for this video, to reflect the disparity in performance at this stage of the race - Mansell on brand-new fresh tyres, and Senna with full-race worn rubber.

The ASR 1992 Williams FW14B wasn’t available at the time of this video, so the existing 1991 car was used.
