My #1 finesse presentation for smallmouth since last December has been a finesse jig that I tie on the NED RIG mold from Do-It Molds, also known as the Midwest Finesse mold. In order to have a collar on this mold to tie a skirt onto, I needed to modify the mold with a ball mill attachment on my Dremel tool. I found out at the ICAST show in Orlando that Do-It Molds now has a mold for heavier heads in this style with larger Victory hooks to match. This is my first go at making the same kind of finesse jigs I caught my personal best largemouth on (8 lb 1 oz this past spring) and countless smallmouth, only in heavier weights and with thicker hooks with wider hook gaps.
