Описание: Discover the life, faith, and spiritual leadership of St. Samuel, the Second Catholicos of Georgia, commemorated on November 30 in the Orthodox Church. This video provides a narrative of his journey, from his origins in Byzantium to his dedicated service in the Georgian Apostolic Orthodox Church during the 6th century.

St. Samuel arrived in Georgia alongside Catholicos Peter at the invitation of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, with the blessing of the Patriarch of Constantinople. After the repose of Catholicos Peter, St. Samuel ascended to the leadership of the Georgian Church, serving faithfully during the reigns of King Dachi and King Bakur.

He initiated construction of the historic Tsqavi Church in the Javakheti region, strengthened Christian life among the Georgian faithful, and was known for his pastoral wisdom and devotion. St. Samuel was also a close friend of the Holy Martyr Queen Shushanik, further intertwining his legacy with the spiritual history of Georgia.

This video recounts his holy labors, his leadership in Mtskheta, and his lifelong dedication to the strengthening of the Orthodox faith.
