Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we have a 2018 Lexus RX350L, and what we're going to be doing is taking a look at the two options of hitches that we have available at etrailer.com. We're going to go over some of the features of both and see which one is going to fit your needs better. So, both of these options are going to be Draw-Tite brands. They are going to be a steel construction with a nice powder coated finish, so it's going to have the same finish, and both are going to resist against rust and corrosion.Looking at our user manual of our 2018 Lexus, it's going to say we only have 3,500 pounds of towable capacity for the vehicle.

So, our round one here is going to have about 6,000 pounds of trailer weight capacity and a max gross tongue weight of 900. It is actually going to be the most cost effective compared to the one up top, but there's not a whole lot of price difference in the two. So, our one up top is going to have a square tubular construction. It's going to give us a 5,000-pound gross weight rating, and on top of that, a 500-pound tongue weight rating as well.If we want to use our weight distribution system, we are going to have to go with our round hitch that we have down here, as the one up top is not going to be rated for. So, as far as appearance goes for our Lexus, we are going to be able to see the whole entire length of our round portion of the hitch receiver.

I don't necessarily like that look. So, on our square one here, we are only going to be able to see the square portion of our hitch receiver, which is going to make it and give it a nice clean look.So, both of these are going to have a little bit different safety chain loops, but both are going to be able to fit your basic size hook. Whatever your hook is, they're going to be able to slide in there pretty easily. This one is a little bit easier to get this one off. As the bottom one, you do need to slide it like so to get it in there, but both are going to fit, and you're just going to have to rotate this to look like so.Both are going to come with a bracket.

You can purchase a bracket on etrailer.com to attach all of your wiring to whatever you may be hauling, and both will be able to fit this J-pin stabilization pin, and it does come with a locking barrel on it as well just to keep everything on there nice and safe, giving you more peace of mind when going down the road. Both of these hitches don't come with a J-pin or a hitch pin, so you can go on etrailer.com and purchase those. Both are going to fit in there nice like.So, all in all, these are going to be really good hitches to put on your RX350L. But in my opinion, both of them have a very sufficient amount of weight that they can carry. So, I just rather the one that's going to look better.

You look at the Lexus, and it does have a good look to it. So, I want to continue that and not ruin that with a big bulky hitch. This one sticks out a little bit, so I'm going to go with the square design. It is only going to show this portion, so it makes it really low profile. On top of that, they have the same finish and are made from the same materials, so it's going to be a pretty easy pick for me. But go on each trailer.com and pick whatever's right for you.
