This 2005 Mercedes Unimog U500 only had 23,000 km when it was converted into an expedition vehicle by the company Global Expedition Vehicles (GXV) in the US in 2010. Both its equipment and its off-road capabilities have been increased significantly since then by the current owner.

Both the Unimog and the housing module are almost new. The truck is the top-of-the-range version of the Unimog U500 with all optional equipment, including left- and right-hand drive. It currently has 29,500 km (guaranteed with documentation). The house has been used for 3 months. It has never been used off-road, only 5,000 km on the road in Europe. It has everything necessary for expeditions with maximum equipment’s for great autonomy. All of them are high-end, and the essential systems (heat, electricity, hot water) are redundant or in triplicate, being prepared to reach remote places, where there is no assistance or services. It does not use gas to avoid incompatible systems from different countries.
