Growing up in the Texas Panhandle and then West Texas, I've always felt a disconnect between the music I've been surrounded by and the music I found myself performing. This Sax Sings America is a series aimed to rectify the gap between who I am and who I've been trained to be.
This recording is a reflection on the land where my family is from, Oklahoma. Many a summer and winter break were spent in Lindsay and Reagan, and they live with me still. The fields, creeks, and plains of Oklahoma will always hold a special place in my heart.
