The Oeste railway line – running for 200 km – travels along Portugal’s west coast and connects the Western region to Central Lisbon.
The West – one of the most dynamic regions in the country – catches our eye due to its beautiful beaches, leisure tourism, and magnificent historical heritage.
This region is characterized by its industrial capacity and significative agricultural production and worldwide known for surfing and golf courses.
Investing on the Oeste Railway Line will enable a 50 minute connection between Lisbon and the town of Torres Vedras and a 90 minute connection to the city of Caldas da Rainha.
Upgrading the Railway Line will allow a substantial increase in the number of trains, from eight to 24 a day, between Lisbon and Caldas da Rainha.
