Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi in his annual press conference in New Delhi addressed key national security issues. General Dwivedi highlighted Pakistan's role as the "epicentre of terrorism," and said that 60 per cent of recently neutralised terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir were of Pakistani origin. General Dwivedi also praised the peace efforts in Jammu & Kashmir and said that the overall violence has decreased. On India-China ties, the Indian Army chief described the situation along the Line of Actual Control as "stable but sensitive." The Indian Army chief also pointed to the collaboration with the Indian Navy in Pangong Tso. Furthermore, General Dwivedi also underscored the strategic importance of Indo-Bangladesh relations and said "any kind of animosity is not in each other's interest."
