The last time I played and posted an attempt at this Bass side was back on September 5th of 2025 and prior to that it was August 25th of 2025. I love this song A LOT so I try it anytime I'm near the thing in my song line-up. The score on that previous attempt had come up from 97.2% to reach 98.0% accuracy where it was sitting when I got to this one last night to try again. I was hoping for improvement and I think I probably did get some of that but not in tangible score. The score on this also landed exactly on 98.0% Accuracy.

As difficult as this one is, I don't consider that a failure because I know it was exactly the same number of missed vs hit but the more I play the better I get. I've tied scores more than once but each time I do and the more hours of practice I get in, the cleaner the sound will get in spite of the numerical score.

This is a "Holy Grail" caliber song for me. Marko Hietala is the only reason I even own a Bass let alone have come to love playing it. I wasn't interested before I watched him make it look awesome a time too many and changed my mind about it. Nightwish was the third band ever to make My List of Favorite Bands. That list currently contains about 12 Bands in total. Nightwish was then the band who resulted in A LONG STORY but one that ends in my finding the other bands now also on that list as well as learning to play 6-String and Bass Guitars. I have a lot of gratitude to these geniuses I've never met and likely never will for what this has given me already and it just keeps getting better as I improve at this. This is My Happy Place!
