Born in North Carolina and raised in Connecticut, LaDee Streeter’s musical journey began in the church choir, where her soulful voice first captivated audiences. She later moved to California, honing her craft in Jazz, Blues and R&B. A versatile vocal stylist, she has toured in Asia and South America; worked with the famed Johnny Otis Review and R&B legend Johnny “Guitar” Watson; and even contributed backing vocals to Stevie Wonder’s iconic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. tribute “Happy Birthday“. As a leader she has released multiple albums and continues to wow audiences in the tri-state area.
Presented in partnership with the Jazz Foundation of America, supported in part by an award from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and by the Howard Gilman Foundation.
