Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Chapter 1 -- Electro Thunder Tiger II

Описание: Welcome to the spinoff to the No More Heroes series that ended up being surprisingly relevant to No More Heroes 3! Released in 2019, the story is that the father of Bad Girl (NMH1's #2 assassin) has tracked Travis down to an RV in the middle of the woods in Texas, and he wants revenge for her death. As Badman and Travis fight, they get sucked into the Death Drive Mk II, an extremely rare game console never actually released to the public. If they want to get out alive, they're going to have to work together!


What makes this a spinoff is the nature of the game. It's more of an arcade-style beat-em-up, where you get locked into little areas to fight bunches of enemies of varying strength. Also, there's two-player co-op. Along the way, you'll find skill chips that give you special moves. You can't double up on chips between characters, but that's probably fine, right?


You can play as either Travis or Badman. The main differences between the two are that Travis has higher attack power and his charge attack hits in a line, whereas Badman has higher health and his charge attack hits in an area around him (IIRC).


Also, the shirts! Let's talk about those. The original vision for Travis Strikes Again involved him basically going through a bunch of different indie game worlds, such as Hotline Miami (as seen in the trailer). However, the complexity and coordination proved to be too much, so the collaboration changed to in-game T-shirts instead. There are all kinds of indie games represented here, both before and after release. So many, in fact, that I forgot about most of them! (Unfortunately, YIIK is not one I forgot.)


The reason there's an "Unlock All" option, it turns out, is that there was initially a bug that could occur where you wouldn't actually unlock certain shirts after paying for them, and there was just no way to get them after that. So, they decided that to make up for it, they would just add a button to give you every shirt for free. With that, the money, Azteca Stones, and UE Logos are all completely worthless! Hooray!
