"Waltzing with Brando" is a biographical drama film directed by Bill Fishman, set to be released in 2025. The film is based on the book "Waltzing with Brando: Planning a Paradise in Tahiti" by Bernard Judge.
The story follows architect Bernard Judge (played by Jon Heder) who travels to French Polynesia to work on a project and finds himself collaborating with counterculture icon Marlon Brando (played by Billy Zane). Together, they plan to create a revolutionary eco-resort on the island of Tetiaroa.
The film also stars Richard Dreyfuss, Camille Razat, Alaina Huffman, Tia Carrere, and James Jagger. Production began in 2023 and was filmed primarily on Tetiaroa, where Brando and Judge have attempted to introduce sustainable architecture and practices.
