VPS - Online Lesson Snippets - "Moanin" - Transcribing Solo

One of my favorite things to do in Online Lessons is work on transcribing music aurally with students.

With my Online Interactive Tools, it enhances the experience & learning process.

In this lesson, we are working on a portion of Bobby Timmons piano solo on "Moanin", which is in my Top 20 of jazz piano solos for intermediate jazz students to learn.

I am guiding the student through this portion of the solo, analyzing the chord structure of melodic fragments, finding patterns, and discovering everything that will help them in future transcribing work.
