I set out on this canoe trip with the idea of spending a night outdoors on a small island, cooking by the fire, and hopefully catching some trout along the way. The strong winds and waves turned it into a real challenge, but also made the experience even more memorable. Despite the struggle, I enjoyed my time in nature — and by the end of the trip, I even got rewarded with something that felt like a birthday present.
