After his last buff, Cal Kestis is actually a pretty solid hero choice in Galactic Assault. He has self healing and the range on his freeze is incredibly far. It is also one of the very few abilities with the fastest activation time so you will almost always get a positive trade using it. His ability reduction card encourages you to get into fights so you can keep your heals up.
