No, you didn't misread the header: this is a korina Stratocaster built by Master Builder Dale Wilson. You rarely see Fenders made of korina, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to showcase such a rare and magnificent beast. The korina body is beautiful, and the blackwood fingerboard, medium-roast AAA birdseye maple neck, and anodized gold pickguard don't hurt either!

It's a sonic standout, too. It has a warmer, rounder, woodier overall tonality than a typical Strat (likely due to the korina), but still has a lively, harmonically interesting top end. It also has a dry, clear, midrange-forward vintage-style voice with a finely-sculpted EQ. In all five pickups positions, you can hear a prominent fundamental in the low-midrange and some vocal quack in the upper-mids beneath round, golden-hued trebles. Anyone looking for warm-sounding Stratocaster will love this marvelous Masterbuilt!
