Hanging from a 134-metre-high rope in New Zealand, Susana Jiménez discovered a powerful metaphor for life: limits don’t disappear — they grow. The economist and former minister reflects on fear, trust and the courage to take the leap, both personally and collectively.
Drawing on her experiences as an academic, public servant and the first woman to lead Chile’s main business confederation, she demonstrates how every leap, even the painful ones, creates opportunities for progress and shaping the future.
'Dare to Jump' is an invitation to push boundaries with purpose — to make our country, and our lives, broader, fairer, and more humane. She is the director of several companies and the president of the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), Chile's main business association. She is a commercial engineer with master's degrees in economics and humanities from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the Universidad del Desarrollo, respectively. She has an extensive career in both the private and public sectors. Her previous positions include Minister of Energy, vice president of the CPC, director of Banco Estado, and economist at the Central Bank of Chile.
