The Centre announced the list of Padma awardees and it will be given to 120 distinguished personalities for their achievements in different fields. Nationalist Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar, BJP veteran Murli Manohar Joshi, late Jammu & Kashmir CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed among others will receive the Padma Vibhushan Award. The list also includes names of cricketer Virat Kohli, India's golden girl Dipa Karmakar, Wrestler Sakshi Malik, Singer Kailash Kher, renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor among others will be felicitated with Padma Shri awards this year. This year, the government has also conferred the award to some personalities who have done exceptional work but are not very popular names.
