Costa Teguise, situated on the eastern coast of Lanzarote, is one of the island's most versatile resort towns, known for its purpose-built charm and architectural harmony. Developed in the 1970s, much of the area reflects the artistic vision of local legend César Manrique, who ensured that the urban growth respected the island's volcanic landscape. A prime example of this is the Pueblo Marinero, a central square designed like a traditional Canarian fishing village with whitewashed walls, green woodwork, and vibrant courtyards. This aesthetic helps the town maintain a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere that differentiates it from more boisterous tourist hubs.

The resort is particularly famous for its four main natural beaches—Playa de las Cucharas, Playa del Jablillo, Playa Bastian, and Playa de los Charcos—each offering a different experience. Las Cucharas is the most prominent, serving as a world-class destination for windsurfing due to its reliable trade winds, while the horseshoe-shaped Jablillo is favored by snorkelers and families for its calm, volcanic-rock-shielded waters.
