it was -8 celsius and snow was packed and turned into ice. this is my car and all this winter i'll be trying it and the tires (TOYO GSI 5) in every situation that one could encounter. in this video we see that on ice that is clear and transparent (like a glass) the car can not start on such a hill,maybe the car is not good enough (no traction control, no diff. lock, and no 4wd) but also the tires claim to have bamboo powder to suck moisture between tire and surface and has also cracked walnut shell that work like spikes to get traction on ice, all that is not enough apparently. so i'm not yet impressed by these tires. only when we have some snow like powder on this kind of ice then we have traction. besides, in other attempts not shown here, we had about 15cm of wet snow full of water,temprature was around 1 celsius, the car couldn't fully climb this small hill unless i get some momentum. so, on cold snow which is not wet and on ice covered by some snow like powder,everything is well, otherwise it's not good.
anyway,more precise tests to be done through this winter.
