In this beginner-friendly tutorial, I recreate a simple plastic pencil holder using the ConjureSDF addon for Blender 3.3.
Originally, I modeled this object using FreeCAD's Part Design workbench in a classic CAD workflow.
Now, I’m following the same design steps using SDF (Signed Distance Field) modeling to explore the differences between parametric CAD modeling and SDF-based modeling.
Whether you're curious about how SDF compares to traditional CAD approaches or just want to dive into modeling with ConjureSDF, this video is a great place to start!

In order to make the meshing work please create a symlinks like so:

/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libEGL.so that points to /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libEGL.so.1.1.0
