This vegetable has many names just like many other Asian vegetables. In Thailand it is very often called morning glory (not the flower), in China it’s called Kong xin cai which translates into hollow heart vegetable or Tung Choi in Cantonese, it’s also called Water spinach, water morning glory, Chinese watercress and other names ☺️ in Indonesia it is called Kangkung, in Vietnam rau muống and in Sri Lanka Kankun ☺️☺️ Are there any names we missed?
Morning glory/ Water spinach is a popular vegetable in many Asian countries and one of our favourites, today we are sharing the easiest and quickest way to cook morning glory, with only 4 ingredients you can have this delicious dish made in 3 minutes 😋
🌈Ingredients
Morning glory 500g
Garlic 4 Cloves
Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
Vegan Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp
🌈Recipe
1.Cut the garlic into small pieces, cut the morning glory in the middle so the stem and the leafy part are roughly separated
2.Heat up the wok(medium-high heat), when it’s hot enough add oil, add garlic, stir for 15s, add the stem part, stir for 30s then add the leafy part, stir for 30s
3.Add soy sauce and vegan oyster sauce sauce, stir for about one more minutes
