40 houses razed in Cebu City fire | ABS-CBN News

Описание: Some 40 houses were razed to the ground after a fire broke out in Sitio All Season 3, Barangay Cogon Pardo in Cebu City on Tuesday night, December 9, 2025.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, it took them more than an hour to control the fire, which reached third alarm.
“We needed back up since it was already too big,” said SFO3 Wendell Villanueva, spokesperson of BFP Cebu city.
The damage incurred was pegged at P3.75 million with over 75 families or more than 300 individuals displaced.
Affected residents are temporarily housed at the Barangay Gym where the city social welfare and development office attended to their basic needs.
“There was provision of relief assistance like hot meals,” said Portia Basmayor, head of the office.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation while clearing operation will commence today.
