In this powerful teaching, we explore love as the greatest commandment given by Jesus Christ. Our pastor breaks down the different types of love found in ScriptureโAgape, Eros, Philia, and Storgeโand explains their meaning using clear biblical examples.
We learn about Agape love, the selfless and unconditional love of God shown through Christ (John 3:16, Romans 5:8). We also look at Philia, the love of friendship and brotherhood (John 15:13, Proverbs 17:17), and Eros, the marital love designed by God (Song of Songs 8:6โ7). Through these teachings, we are reminded why Jesus said that loving God and loving others is the greatest commandment (Matthew 22:37โ39).
