Workshop Update VLOG #10: How Did I Hang Super Heavy Shelves on the Wall?

Описание: Remember those shelves? They were super heavy and needed some proper planning to get them on the wall. In this vlog-style video I explain how I did it and how I plan to organise my workshop around this new storage solution.

This is a follow-up on a previous episode where I assembled the cabinets and dealt with a crucial mistake:    • Cabinet Making: A Day in the Workshop  

The shelves weigh around 30kgs on their own and over 100kgs fully loaded. I built a custom support under the shelf to support the rear; anchored the top of the cabinet into the wall plate at the top of the workshop wall; and installed some new 'jack' joists into the ceiling to support the front of the cabinet.

The euro crates I used were from BigDug.co.uk and are an excellent choice for organising your workshop. Each box will contain all the elements I need for a particular process in the workshop and will greatly simplify how I organise my gear and tackle tasks as I'm working on projects.

I shot this on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 phone and am really pleased with both the quality of the video and the sound.
